Controlled exfoliation for scars, pigmentation and fine lines.
A peel solution removes the outer layer of dead skin cells. Peels range from superficial to deeper ones and are chosen for concerns like acne marks, uneven pigmentation and fine lines.
A chemical peel uses a carefully chosen solution to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells, encouraging fresher, more even skin to come through. Peels range from light 'lunchtime' peels with little or no downtime to deeper peels that cause visible flaking for a few days.
Different peel agents suit different concerns — some help unclog pores and calm acne, others target pigmentation, dullness or fine lines. The right peel and strength are chosen after looking at your skin type and what you'd like to improve.
Peels are usually done as a series of sessions a few weeks apart. Afterwards the skin is more sensitive to the sun, so sunscreen is essential, and scrubbing, waxing and strong active products should be avoided for a few days.
